Is This Finally the Year of Mobile?

Summary: Since 2007, marketers and ad folks have been talking about the year of mobile. Is this finally the year? Other countries have far surpassed the U.S. in mobile technology and marketing, so it has been interesting to see how the U.S. adapts mobile to such a hesitant market. Opt-in/opt-out is a huge factor. Consumers here consider mobile to be private, from conversations and texts to who they are looking up on Facebook. The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) says that mobile advertising is gaining more acceptance in the U.S.
