Fill volumes and cost

At roughly $1.50 per cubic foot from a local welding-gas supplier:

4.5-foot sphere, 65 cu ft, about $98. 8-foot sphere, 300 cu ft, about $450. 13-foot blimp, 170 cu ft, about $255. 21-foot blimp, 430 cu ft, about $645.

A 200 cubic foot cylinder is about $300, so read the table above as cylinders rather than dollars when you are planning.

Helium and add-ons

Helium comes from a local welding-gas or industrial-gas supplier, about $300 per 200 cubic foot cylinder, roughly $1.50 per cubic foot. We do not sell it, because you can buy it cheaper than we could ship it.

Use the fill column above to work out your own figure. After the first fill you replace about one percent a day.
